Activists of Global Action Madrid collective have denounce publicly today, 15th of July, the criminal policies carried out by the eight more powerfull countries in the world. During the denouncement, a banner with the phrase “who sow winds, then will gather storms . STOP G8” have been opened out over a handrail of the brigde placed over the “Cuesta de San Vicente” facing “Plaza de España” (center of Madrid). Next to it, activists took down, as simulating a hanging, eight straw puppets representing presidents gathered from today in the russian city of St Petersburg.

One more year, hierarchs of these eight countries will publicly promise again to be determined to make lighter the situation of extreme poverty and postration of miles of millions of excludeds. Meanwhile, in their private meetings, they will negociate their respective quotes of power and their fields of influence.

In the meeting held in the scottish locality of Gleneagles it was promised to increase help to the most poor countries in 50,000 million dollars per year. This goal, obviously, have not been achieve. Last year, help grow just 5,000 millions. Parallelly, they try to deceive public opinion counting as “help”, in a cynic exercise of creative accounting, another 16,000 from the external debt that rich countries know they will never charge. In return, poor countries have found themselves made to open even more their markets to the external robbery. This is just an example.
